There are many ways you can help Arts!Oglethorpe reopen the doors the Crawford School.  100% of all monetary donations go directly to the Building Fund for the renovation of the Crawford School.  Various donor levels are provided as guidelines; however, no donation is too small – or too large.  Seats, Stairs and Windows may also be sponsored.  Directed donations are also welcome if a specific part of the project is of interested to a donor.   

Over $50,000 are currently available for the Phase I renovations which are estimated at $150,000.  The entire project budget is $350,000.  

We have also been very fortunate to have had offers of donated labor for some of the plumbing and electrical work.  There will be plenty of finish carpentry, HVAC and drywall work to be done once the general contractors finish with the major structural work.

In addition to community donations, Arts!Oglethorpe has also applied for grants and corporate donations.  These funds are very hard to come by now due to huge cutbacks in government funding and increased competition for a limited pool of money.

March 2005 - Restoration work on first floor begins in preparation for "The Music Man" in July 2005.

November 2004 - Exterior masonry complete. Front entrance excavated and restored to original configuration.  Watch the front entrance reappear...

July 2004 - Work to begins on exterior masonry.  Interior work will begin in February 2005

November 2003 - Bidding process begun for the first phase of renovations.  Interior and exterior masonry are tops on our list. 

October 2003 - First window adopted!  Many thanks to  John and Linda Blanchard who are the proud sponsors of an auditorium window. 

September 2003 - A!O Truck Raffle Raises $13,00 for Schoolhouse Fund. Billy Bryant was the proud winner...
